The only exception is probably the boss from the Dark covenant, the guy with the wings. Hard to explain, but I have vivid memories of the epic boss battles in Demon’s, Dark Souls 1 and Bloodborne and Dark Souls 2 let me down here for the most part. But there was something off with the bosses. But then you have Aldia’s Keep, Dragon Shrine, Drangleic, Shulva and the game just kept getting better from there!Ībout difficulty, I found this game easier than Dark Souls 1 & Bloodborne. Like thats the best thing Dark Souls 1 had, where the world is cohesive. And the transition to Iron Keep felt very very off. Environments in general look very basic and the use of color threw me off, like the intense green in black gulch and valley. I still think the criticism it receives is valid. I was surprised how easy I got back into it and surprised how the game got better and better the more I played. I had a save file with about 20 hours in from 2018 and decided to just load it. I’ve been wanting to play Sekiro and Dark Souls 3, but I hated that I never finished Dark Souls 2. I actually finished this game too recently on Sunday.
